I am Stephen A. Smith and this site provides information on my research, projects, and various resources.

I am a graduate student at Yale in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Dept. and my projects include:

  • simulation of biogeographic patterns
  • large-scale phylogenetic reconstruction automation
  • computational methods related to evolutionary biology

I program in C, C++, and Java and those software projects and algorithms are presented here.
